Dr. Eriksson received his PhD from the University of Uppsala, Sweden in 1984. He completed postdoctoral training from The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, USA and Karolinska Institutet in 1991. He currently works in The Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. His main research interests include the study of VEGF/PDGF growth factors in vascular biology with a special focus on functional interactions between the vascular wall and surrounding parenchymal cells.
